Blue Sky Studios has officially announced the sequel to their 2011 hit Rio. The sequel, currently 
titled Rio 2, is set for a Spring 2014 release. That’s not all, it looks like some big stars are set to lend their voices to it!

From the sound of it, looks like this will be another success for Blue Sky, who won hearts with the original Rio. Note the release date as well: Rio 2 will release just in time for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in…you guessed it! Brazil!
Personally, I loved Rio. It was fun, colorful and celebrated the spirit of Brazil perfectly.
If Rio 2 is as successful as the first, I think we can expect a third one to be released in 2016, to coincide with the 2016 Summer Olympics, which will be held in…you guessed it again! BRAZIL!
