The new clip features a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the hilarious ad- featuring a twist on the popular song “Heard It Through The Grapevine”- which has people buzzing. The ad stars the organization’s mascot ‘Underdog’ who is adorable.
Aardman says about the clip:
During the short ‘making of’ video, Director Danny Capozzi explains why he thinks viewers are more likely to connect with the ad. Meanwhile Head Model Maker Chris ‘Enty’ Entwistle talks about the benefits of using claymation, saying because the characters are so “pliable and malleable, you can bend them around, and squeeze them so that you can add expression.
The National Accident Hotline is based in the UK and is a hotline for citizens to call if they’ve been injured in an accident that wasn’t their fault.
Aardman has done some amazing claymation work- from Creature Comforts to Wallace and Gromit. They’ve won an Oscar for Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit and could win another this Sunday for the acclaimed The Pirates! Band of Misfits (The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists for our UK readers)
