DreamWorks Animation’s Home doesn’t have a sequel announced yet, but a certain British comic book publisher is more than willing to take the opportunity to tell more stories from the world of Home.

Bleeding Cool recently announced that Titan Comics (an imprint of Titan Books) will publish a new licensed comic book based on the film. Written and drawn by the creative team of Max Davison and Matt Hebb, the first issue will be published in August (with a trade paperback edition to arrive in September).

The comic’s storyline is described as follows:

Fresh from DreamWorks Animation’s new film ‘Home,’ Titan Comics bring you the all-new adventures of the friendliest and most inept world dominators you’ve ever seen! The Boov are an alien race trying to make Earth their home, but they really don’t get human culture!

Here is the cover for the first issue:

The cover of the trade paperback was also released:

HOME_Comic_2

This is fairly familiar territory for Titan Comics. It previously published a four-issue series based on the Penguins of Madagascar (from the creative team of Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning). Titan Comics will also publish comics and graphic novels based on Illumination Entertainment’s Minions (from the creative team of Renaud Collin and Didier Ah-Koon).

Home is currently in theaters everywhere. See Morgan’s review of the film on our website here.

What do you think? If you liked Home, would you be interested in reading the comics?
