The fourth-ever D23 Expo is on its way this August. Today Disney announced details regarding the convention’s biggest panels.

The D23 Expo is an event hosted by D23, the official Disney fan club. It will take place August 14-16, 2015, at the Anaheim Convention Center, just minutes away from Disneyland.

  • Friday: Disney Legends Ceremony – Disney CEO Bob Iger will induct this year’s Disney Legends. Honorees to be announced.
  • Friday: Walt Disney Studios (Animation) – This presentation features a behind the scenes with filmmakers from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios and will feature sneak peeks of Zootopia and Finding Dory.
  • Saturday: Walt Disney Studios (Live-Action) – This presentation will feature sneak peeks of The Jungle Book, Alice Through the Looking Glass, and future Marvel and Lucasfilm projects. “Very special guests” are promised.
  • Sunday: Walt Disney Parks and Resorts – The (newly instated) Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek will host this presentation. Nothing specific has been teased, though there’s likely to be new information about Frozen, Star Wars, and Avatar projects.

All four presentations will take place in Hall D23, a new 7500-seat venue within the center. However, they certainly won’t be the only big happenings from the weekend. Each D23 Expo is jam-packed with panels, screenings, announcements, celebrities, and surprises. Stay tuned for more information as it comes (because, as August inches closer, it will in heavy force).
