Although it won’t hit theaters until September 27, there has already been quite a bit of exciting and creative marketing for Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2. (Trailer!)
Now we get an exciting video where Terry Crews gives us an introduction to the plot, a few amazing stills and a few clever gags. Crews is one of the stars of Cloudy 2, he will be replacing Mr. T as the voice of Officer Earl Devereaux. If any fans of the original were worried about not having Mr. T, I think this video will put there concerns to rest. Terry Crews fits the character of this over-the-top cop perfectly.
Many animation fans were also weary of this sequel since it has been announced. This is understandable due to the fact that many animated sequels do not do the original justice. And the first Cloudy With A Chance is a great film, widely regarded as one of the best from Sony. I must admit, when the sequel was announced, I was very cautious. However, this sneak peek perfectly captures the quirkiness and wit of the first film! The plot still doesn’t seem very impressive, but then, the plot of the first film was rather simple. I am very excited for the rest of the Cloudy 2 marketing campaign but for now, enjoy the video below:
