WDAS, with Disney’s live-action team, and Pixar present a jam-packed weekend of exclusive announcements, presentations, interactive displays, artist signings, photo opps, and giveaways for D23 Expo 2019.

Go Behind the Scenes with Walt Disney Studios

WDAS’ Chief Creative Officer Jennifer Lee and Pixar’s CCO Peter Docter pair up to present new footage, surprises, musical performances, and cast appearances from upcoming animated films. Fans will get exclusive new insight at WDAS’ Frozen 2 with directors Chris Buck, Jennifer Lee, and producer Peter Del Vecho. Pixar’s upcoming original film Onward gets full focus too with director Dan Scanlon, producer Kori Rae, and Docter sharing details. *Cell phones, cameras, and all recording devices will be checked during this presentation.*

August 23-25, 9AM to 6PM, daily on the Show Floor

There will be several opportunities to meet the teams behind the upcoming slate of films and autograph signings of exclusive art & promotional giveaways. Here, fans will get to see the real-life Guinevere, Onward‘s moon-and-pegacorn-decorated van.

The Walt Disney Animation Research Library (ARL) team preserves millions of pieces of original Disney artwork, from classic shorts of the early days to the modern films of the past few years. Fans will learn how the ARL preserves and shares these ‘hidden gems.’

Walt Disney Animation Studios will debut the experimental short film program, Short Circuit, which will also be featured on Disney+ next spring. Artists and filmmakers will share their films for the first time and give behind-the-scenes insight.
