First Full-Length Trailer for Disney-Pixar’s ‘Coco’ is Here!

Disney-Pixar has unleashed the first official full length trailer for this fall’s Coco!

The trailer, which can be seen below, features much of the visuals we saw in the initial teaser trailer, and expands on the actual storyline of the film. The film looks and feels like an all-out celebration of the Dia De Los Muertos festival, or ‘Day of the Dead.’

The trailer introduces us to the protagonist, Miguel (voiced by Anthony Gonzalez), who sets out to rediscover his heritage as a musician. Along the way, he stumbles into the ‘Land of the Dead’ and is led to learn more about his family and those before him.

What stands out from the trailer is the visual appeal of the film; the use of warm, orange-yellow colors immediately brings autumn to mind. What’s more, it’s exciting to think about what the music of the film will be like, considering this is a film rooted in music.

Coco is directed by Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3, Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc.) with a screenplay by Adrian Molina.

It will be interesting to see how this film plays out and appeals to a wider global audience. Coco definitely has its work cut out for itself trying to capture a broad audience.  What do you think? Are you excited for Coco?

Coco hits theatres November 22, 2017.
