You’ve found it, the latest trailer for Pixar’s Finding Dory! The latest, and most likely final, trailer for Pixar’s sequel to the 2003 hit film debuted today on The Ellen Show. Besides giving us a new look at the film and the beloved characters from the original, the trailer also shows off some new plot points and introduces us to some of the new characters.
Six months after the events of the first film, Dory suddenly recalls her childhood memories. Remembering something about “the jewel of Morro Bay, California”, accompanied by Nemo and Marlin, she sets out to find her family. She arrives at the Monterey Marine Life Institute, where she meets Bailey, a white beluga whale; Destiny, a whale shark; and Hank, an octopus, who becomes her guide.
Finding Dory is co-directed by Andrew Stanton and Angus MacLane from a screenplay by Victoria Strouse. Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks both return as their respective characters. New members to the voice cast include Ed O’Neill, Ty Burrell, Kaitlin Olson, Idris Elba, Dominic West, Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy and Hayden Rolence as Nemo.
Finding Dory swims into theater this summer, on June 17.
