The new trailer for Disney’s live-action movie Alice Through the Looking Glass, the sequel to Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, arrived and there’s much to see.
Mia Wasikowska reprises her role as Alice along with Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen. A new addition to the cast is Sacha Baron Cohen (Les Misérables) who will play Time, a man who – as the White Queen explains in the trailer – is “not someone you want as your enemy.”
Tim Burton fans will be happy to hear he is credited as producer, although he passes the directing torch to James Bobin (The Muppets). Does this change anything? The look of the characters and Wonderland are, obviously, already established so there won’t be any drastic changes. Though one can’t help but notice how much more colorful some of the backgrounds and costume designs are. The poem throughout the trailer, spoken by the Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry), certainly keeps us intrigued as to the plot. Check it out below:
