Say hello to the next generation of Disney Villains in the all-new first look trailer for Disney Channel’s upcoming original movie Descendants.
The kids of Jafar (Aladdin), the Evil Queen (Snow White), Cruella (101 Dalmatians), and Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty) are front and center in the new trailer, named Jay, Evie, Carlos and Mal respectively. Fashion-forward and full of attitude, these villainous kids seem to have the characteristics of their (in)famous parents, for example, Jay steals (ahem, Aladdin reference), Evie thinks she’s “the fairest one of all”, Carlos is scared of dogs, and Mal’s hobby is cursing people she hates. Oh, today’s kids.
Already, the movie looks like a must-watch event. Disney Channel movies have definitely come a long way, as the costumes, the acting, and the special effects look really good. (What’s up with Jafar though?)
Descendants takes the kids of Disney’s most famous villains from their island of banishment and gives them a second chance at a new life; but this will mean two words no teenager wants to hear: high school. Are these famous kids up to the challenge to be good and worthy, or will they fall back into their parent’s footsteps?
