Final ‘Cinderella’ Trailer Is Most Beautiful Yet

If a dream is a wish your heart makes, then this new trailer for the upcoming live-action version of Cinderella will make all your dreams come true!

The trailer opens in a rather dramatic fashion, narrating the first meeting between ‘Ella’ (Lily James) and the prince (Richard Madden). We also get to see more clips of Ella working around the house and being bossed around by her stepmother (Cate Blanchett). Set to an Ellie Goulding song, the rest of the trailer reminds us just how magical and timeless the story of Cinderella is. We get an extended look at the prince and his life, the royal ball, the famous ‘midnight’ scene, and, of course, the Fairy Godmother (Helena Bonham Carter) and the iconic transformation scene which rivals the original animated film in visual artistry.

From the looks of it, this is a new Cinderella, where the former servant girl stands up for herself and says “I will protect the prince from you, no matter what becomes of me.” At the same time, this appears to be a solid and classy retelling of the tale we all know and love. There hardly appear to be any silly jokes or gags, rather a film full of thoughtful dialogue and a strong story.

Cinderella, starring Lily James, Cate Blanchett, and Richard Madden, and directed by Kenneth Branagh, will release in theaters March 13. The film will also feature the new Frozen short, Frozen Fever.

Are you excited for the new Cinderella adaptation?
