Last week DreamWorks Animation released a new How to Train Your Dragon 2 character poster featuring Astrid. When it released that poster, the studio also revealed that more  posters would come in the upcoming weeks. Looks like today we were graced with a second poster featuring Fishlegs and his dragon.

The details on Fishlegs and his  dragon are stunning; all the textures are incredibly vivid and detailed, just like with the Hiccup and the Astrid poster. You can see the amount of work that went into creating these characters. I really like this older design of Fishlegs but his beard is bothering me. It looks really flat compared to the rest of the poster’s detail. Let’s hope his beard looks much better in the movie.

These posters are our first introduction to the older versions of the characters since this movie is set about five years after the first How to Train Your Dragon movie. All the characters have grown up a bit and these new character posters give us a better look at the new older character designs.

Read Fishleg’s official How to Train Your Dragon 2 character description below:

”Fishlegs is a lovable dragon nerd who seems to get bigger with age. As a clever and determined statistical guru, he keeps detailed records of each dragons’ traits and characteristics. He prefers to play things on the safe side and hates breaking rules. If you loved Fishlegs in the first movie, you’re bound to grow even more attached in the sequel.”

How to Train Your Dragon 2 is the second film in the DreamWorks Dragons trilogy. This second film will continue five years after the first film ended and this time we will see Hiccup as a teenager. While Astrid and the others are challenging each other to Dragon races, Hiccup and his friend Toothless are exploring the world. When they discover a secret ice cave, they realize it’s home to hundreds of new wild dragons and a mysterious Dragon rider.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 will release in theatres June 13, 2014

What do you think of this new HTTYD2 poster & Fishlegs’ older design?
