the_incredibles_promo_picThis Friday, the new Animation Addicts Podcast episode will be covering one of Pixar’s greatest accomplishments: The Incredibles. While most people have their own ideas about what makes the film great, I happen to think it’s the beautiful, varied cast of characters that makes it wonderful and opens up the possibilities for great memorable moments. So here is my list of my top 5 favorite moments in The Incredibles.

5.) Pre-Film Doc

Pixar opens the film by doing what they do best: summarize everything you need to know within the first 10 minutes of the film. Here we have a documentary style intro which gives us everything we need to know in a really fun, quirky way. Love it.

4.) The Glory Days

I love this section of the film because it shows you exactly the kind of people these characters are. They are smart, intuitive, selfless, and above all they are heroes.

3.)  A Regular Family Dinner

What The Incredibles shows us is that every family is the same, no matter how different we may think we are. Parents will yell, children will fight, but we are in it together.

2.) Where is My Super-suit?

Samuel L. Jackson. As a cartoon. Need I say more?

1.) Everything Edna Mode

Personally, my favorite part of the entire movie has everything to do with Edna Mode. Not only is she stylish, she is freaking hilarious. She knows how to get her way, and how to give a wake up call!
