HTTYD2-Official-Logo

Well, here it is! The official logo for DreamWorks’ highly anticipated sequel – How To Train Your Dragon 2!

It looks like they didn’t opt for some fancy subtitle or anything else (remember that the teaser did not show the title, despite the official YouTube video calling it by its known title, the teaser poster just shows a fiery “2”), just simply How To Train Your Dragon 2. It’s a bit odd, considering that 20th Century Fox’s 2013-2018 animation slate put “[working title]” next to this film’s title, implying that it would have a subtitle or something else.

But onto the logo itself… It’s definitely eye-catching and a lot prettier than the rather generic one that they used for the first film. The more stone-like font for “How To Train Your” adds a very nice touch, but the scaly texture for “Dragon” and the big “2” completes it. It fits in with the film’s setting, tone and whatnot.

Do you like the design of the new logo? Do you like the official title? Or would you have preferred a subtitle or a different title altogether? Sound off below!
