Last week DreamWorks Animation revealed the lush and colorful poster to its caveman click The Croods.
This week, DreamWorks has given us our first teaser trailer for the film. After seeing the trailer in action, I take back everythign I said about the characters looking generic. I’m loving these characters! They are clearly unique and different than anything else we’ve seen. I love the contrast of the dark and gloomy cave to the bright and Avatar-esque world that The Croods find themselves thrown into. This trailer focuses mainly on Emma Stone’s character, but sets the stage for a great family adventure, “get out of your comfort zone” story.
It’s unusually late in the game for first trailer reveal considering The Croods is scheduled to hit theatres in just 6 months (making me wonder if production wasn’t on pace a few months ago). This trailer also shows the 20th Century Fox logo, as Croods will be the first film distributed under the new deal.
The Croods hits theatres March 22, 2013.
