Disney has unveiled the first official poster for the eagerly anticipated upcoming DuckTales reboot, premiering next year on Disney XD.
The minimalist poster features all the iconic characters of the show in one place: Donald Duck, his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, and Webby in different adventures, all within the silhouette of Scrooge McDuck. In addition to the first promo image released a while back, we now have a pretty good idea of the art style of the show. It appears to be modern and stylized, much like the current incarnation of Mickey Mouse shorts, but still remains very true to the original character designs. Notably, Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby have different hairstyles this time around. The new poster also features the logo for the reboot, which also sticks close to the original, if a little more angular and asymmetrical.
We have no word yet on the voice cast, which we understand will be completely new. The new show is being executive produced by Matt Youngberg (Ben 10: Omniverse) along with story editor and co-producer Francisco Angones (Wander Over Yonder) and art director Sean Jimenez (Gravity Falls).
DuckTales premieres on Disney XD in 2017.
