Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch is wasting no time after the announced end of his hugely successful show. Variety is reporting that Hirsch already has a deal for a brand new, prime-time animated series in the works with Fox.
Apparently after the success of Gravity Falls, Hirsch has been fielding offers from multiple media outlets, all vying for a chance to work with him. While Fox seems to be the lucky network to snag him, it should be noted that they are probably the most natural home for Hirsch’s talents, given their previous successful prime-time animated series.
While plot details for Hirsch’s new show are currently being kept under tight wraps, Hirsch did tell Variety that he was “cooking up some brand-new weirdness.”
Gravity Falls will be finishing its run with an hour-long finale on Feb. 15.
What do you think of this news? Are you excited to see what Hirsch will do next?
