You know what’s great? PIXAR! You know what’s not great? 728 days without a new Pixar film. Luckily for us, and our mental health, Inside Out will be released in TWO WEEKS! And to help with the wait, the Rotoscopers Team thought it would be fun to write and review every single Pixar film to date! And then let you, the readers, decide which one triumphs as their best.

Now, we all know this will be difficult. It would be hard enough to try and decide which Toy Story is the best one (*cough* 3 *cough*). But then you add Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Wall-E, Up, Monsters, Inc and the others, and it’s practically impossible.

Good thing 'Anastasia' is traditionally animated or the whole "Voting for the best" thing would be pointless
Good thing ‘Anastasia’ is traditionally animated or the whole “Voting for the best” thing would be pointless

But hopefully, our daily articles detailing each movie’s strengths will make this impossible choice a fun challenge. Here’s how our Pixar Rewind will work: Every day, starting today and ending on June 18th right before the release of Inside Out, one of the Rotowriters will publish one article centered on a Pixar film. We’ll start with 1995’s Toy Story and end with 2013’s Monsters University, moving through their filmography in chronological order. Then we all go watch their new film, explode, and become little piles of confetti. Then we somehow vote on the best Pixar film over the weekend.

So, what is the BEST Pixar movie, according to you? Comment away!

Pablo Ruiz

Pablo Ruiz is a Colombian filmmaker. Movies like Toy Story, The Lion King and Aladdin made him fall in love with the art form and now he hopes to dedicate his life to telling stories, hopefully for Pixar (if they go back to doing original films). Some of his ambitions are making a movie as emotionally impacting as Toy Story 3, meeting JK Rowling, and petting a million dogs. Follow him on Twitter (@PabloRV7).
