Adventure Time Frost & Fire

Adventure Time Frost & Fire

Adventure Time is back with another compilation DVD, this time with the theme Frost and Fire! In case you’re not in the know of what this show is about, you should know that Finn and Jake are best friends and go on adventurers in the magical land of Ooo.  Throughout the course of the show, we see Finn grow as he battles this world’s many diverse monsters. With some pretty deep topics mixed in with light humor, Adventure Time is perfect for adults and children alike.

In Adventure Time: Frost & Fire‘s collection of episodes, as can be gathered from the title of the DVD, the focus is on those episodes that have some reference to either frost or fire (including the episode entitled “Frost & Fire”). It’s quite the collection of entertaining episodes, starting with “Frost & Fire”. In this episode, Finn’s girlfriend Flame Princess beats up the Ice King for him.  Finn also has an interesting dream and wants to have it again, triggering some interesting events which lead to an unfortunate ending.

Listed below are all the episodes included on this DVD:

1. “Frost & Fire”
2. “Earth & Water”
3. “Jake the Brick”
4. “The Prince Who Wanted Everything”
5. “Something Big”
6. “Return to the Nightosphere”
7. “Daddy’s Little Monster”
8. “Joshua and Margaret Investigations”
9. “Davey”
10. “The Pit”
11. “Freak City”
12. “Memories of Boom Boom Mountain”
13. “James”
14. “Time Sandwich”
15. “Apple Thief”
16. “Thanks for the Crabapples, Giuseppe”

The compilation DVD certainly a diverse mix of episodes, with a majority coming from Seasons 4, 5, and 6.  A couple episodes from Seasons 1 and 3 are scattered throughout. If you’re an Adventure Time fan and are looking to grab some of your favorites before Seasons 5 and 6 release, this DVD is the perfect way to do so as some of my favorite episodes are sprinkled throughout. It’s disappointing that there are literally zero special features, so don’t expect any of that good stuff we all love.

This is Cartoon Network’s 9th DVD compilation and will be available on DVD March 3rd.
