Today, Amazon released a slew of new Big Hero 6 book covers, which will be available to buy a few months before the movie premieres.
The books’ illustrations are a unique blend of classic Disney storybook and comic book art. The prominence of Ben-Day dots, a shading technique evocative of the comic book style from the 50s and 60s, tie Disney’s version of the tale back to the original Marvel comic series. Overall, the illustrations aren’t as Disney-fied as the Frozen books, but that’s because these books are hitting a different market segment: boys. Nonetheless, the comic book influence will make these books a visual treat for any reader.
Check out the seven new book covers below. If you want to pre-order any of these, simply click on the title or image and you will be directed to that book’s Amazon page.

It happens every year: a few months before the release of Disney’s newest animated film various books and novelizations are released early. And of course since we’re in the Internet age where nothing is sacred any more, the second these books become available, the film’s spoilers are plastered all across the web.
Even though you may be tempted to flip through these books in the store or read them early, we highly recommend that you don’t. The movie will be so much more enjoyable when you see it with fresh eyes.
All the books will be available on September 23–about a month and a half before Big Hero 6‘s theatrical release on November 7. You can pre-order the books now on Amazon.
