The Department of Justice has been investigating antitrust and class action lawsuits over wage-fixing activities that have occurred among Silicon Valley technology companies and animation studios. This would be the largest wage-fixing cartel in American history, and has combined some of the most powerful figures in the technology and entertainment industries in a conspiracy to illegally suppress the wages of their employees. This includes Apple’s Steve Jobs, Lucasfilm’s George Lucas, Pixar’s Ed Catmull, and Google’s Eric Schmidt.
Tech site Pando Daily has recently been reporting and focusing more on the animation studios associated with this scandal. This illegal wage-fixing goes beyond Pixar and Lucasfilm, and according to Catmull and Lucas, Walt Disney Animation Studios and DreamWorks are also extremely involved and have been participating in acts to keep their employees wages abnormally low.
Disney Animation has become central to this crime, since the company owns both Pixar and Lucasfilm, and it should be noted that as the company was forcing wages lower, their stock prices and profits have soared to an all-time high.
