Even though here at the Rotoscopers we’re still hyping out about Disney’s latest animated feature Frozen that won 2 Oscars at this year’s Academy Awards and joined the $1 billion club two weeks ago, perhaps it’s time to move on to Disney’s next big project that’s slated to release this November: Big Hero 6.
Unfortunately, Disney hasn’t released a lot of official information about the movie except for some landscape concept art and a short clip. We don’t even have a voice cast! It’s about time that Disney starts with revealing more info about the movie before other people will. Last week someone on Tumblr leaked a new piece of Big Hero 6 concept art that was featured on a Japanese Disney calendar.
This new piece of concept art features main character Hiro Hamada and the robot he built named Baymax. Baymax is a robot that was created to fill Hiro’s void he had when his brother, Tadashi was killed. This little bit of information and this piece of concept art makes me so excited to see the relationship between Hiro and Baymax. I’m sure this will bring a lot of emotional and beautiful scenes.
”Set in a fictional metropolis called San Fransokyo (a portmanteau of San Francisco and Tokyo), Hiro Hamada is a 14-year-old prodigy who created a huggable robot named Baymax to fill the void after the death of his brother, Tadashi. To find the killer, Hiro formed a team named Big Hero 6, which included Wasabi-No-Ginger, Honey Lemon, GoGo Tomago, Fred, Baymax, and himself.”
