Willem Dafoe Back For ‘Finding Dory’, Says It’s Better Than ‘Nemo’

Hypable is reporting that Willem Dafoe is back for Finding Dory, reprising his role of Gill from the original Finding Nemo. Dafoe joins returning cast members Albert Brooks (Marlin) and, of course, Ellen DeGeneres as everyone’s favorite fish. They are joined by Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy, who will play Jenny and Charlie, Dory’s parents. Also joining Pixar’s movie is Modern Family’s Ty Burrell as Bailey, the Beluga whale.

Dafoe also spoke highly of the sequel, saying “it’s better than the first [one]”. That’s high praise indeed, considering 2003’s Nemo is one of the most beloved Pixar movies and certainly one of their best efforts.

Finding Dory swims into theaters in June 2016, after being delayed as consequence of the production problems The Good Dinosaur is having. Andrew Stanton returns to direct a script penned by newcomer Victoria Strouse.
