US Premiere of ‘The Blue Umbrella’ Announced

Can’t wait to see Pixar’s next short film? Will you be around Austin in March? It has been announced that the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Conference and Festival will be the host of the US premiere of The Blue Umbrella! 

The festival, that has been taking place every Spring for the last 27 years in Austin, Texas, will be the first place to screen the short film in the US, after it premiered in the Berlin International Film Festival, where this cool poster was revealed.

Director Saschka Unseld also tweeted the dates and times that The Blue Umbrella will be playing at Austin:

• Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00am
• Tuesday, March 11, 2013 at 4:15pm
• Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 9:30pm

Be sure to check out the festival if you’re in Austin when the film festival’s in town! The rest of us will have to wait until Monsters University opens in theaters, when the love story between two umbrellas will play in front of Pixar’s fourteenth feature.
