Pixar’s newest film, Inside Out has everyone talking about just how great it is, but it’s the short film in front of the movie that’s grabbing an equal share of attention. Pixar’s new short Lava tells the story of a lonely volcano desperate to find love. He’s spent his years watching everyone around him pair off, but remains the only volcano in the sea.
Lava is also a departure for Pixar, as it’s their first short with a musical narrative, rather than being silent. Now, Pixar has released the full audio for the short, featuring the catchy, breezy, Hawaiian-themed love song Lava. It’s the perfect addition to your summer playlist.
