Pixar always has charitable events around the year and the next one includes a Monsters University screening at the Studio itself! John Lasseter, one of the founders of Pixar, released a letter (you can read it here, thanks to The Pixar Times) announcing the event.
Lasseter’s son suffers from Type 1 Diabetes and the event’s profits will go to JDRF, the organization that leads the research on this disease. Two years ago, Pixar and the organization partnered up for a similar event (before the release of Cars 2) and managed to raise over one million dollars.
The event includes an elegant black-tie dinner, different auctions and a “an exclusive Pixar Animations Studios campus experience”. Right now, you can reserve a sponsorship table right here. Individual tickets may be available soon.
So if you recently visited the Cave of Wonders and have some money laying around, don’t miss this opportunity to have an unforgettable experience at Pixar and help medical research at the same time!
