We’re inching closer to the release of Disney’s newest animated film Big Hero 6 and with that comes the release of all the ancillary merchandise, including the art book for the film The Art of Big Hero 6.
We’e had a placeholder cover for a while now, but the official cover is simply stunning. It, of course, features beautiful concept art of Hiro flying atop Baymax–a duo that is definitely integral to the film.
The cover is incredibly beautiful and has a wispy, ephemeral feel to it since Baymax and Hiro are flying through the sky at high speeds. It also shows that Hiro and Baymax’s armor at one point was black and red, instead of the final coloring of red and purple. According to Disney artist and story supervisor Paul Briggs, the cover is most likely concept art by Paul Felix.
The book is written by Jessica Julius and features a preface by John Lasseter and forward by the film’s directors Don Hall and Chris Williams. The book is set to be released October 21, a few weeks before the film debuts in US theatres.
Pre-order the book on Amazon.
Big Hero 6 soars into theatres November 7.
