LAIKA released four new character posters for its upcoming animated feature The Boxtrolls in addition announcing that the little boxed creatures are heading to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con to present the film with a Boxtrolls panel and poster signing event.
On Friday, July 25 you can experience how it is to eat like a boxtroll in #EatLikeTheBoxtrolls. During this event, bug chef David George Gordon will dare you yo eat like a boxtroll as he cooks edible creations with bugs and insects. Isaac Hempstead Wright, who voices Eggs in the film will also stop by to sign limited edition Fish and Shoe posters, be sure to come back the next day because Isaac will also return to sign limited edition Sparky and Oil Can posters.
The Eat Like The Boxtrolls poster signing event will take place in Petco Park starting at 2:00PM on both July 25 and 26.
During this year’s Comic-Con LAIKA will also have its very own The Boxtrolls panel. The panel will take place on Saturday, July 26. Panelists for this panel include the film’s directors Anthony Stacchi and Graham Annable, producer, lead animator, and LAIKA president and CEO, Travis Knight and voice talent Sir Ben Kingsley, Isaac Hempstead Wright and Elle Fanning.
During this panel the filmmakers will show clips from the film, share new details about the film and visitors of the panel will have the opportunity to ask questions to the panelists.
The The Boxtrolls panel will take place in the Convention Center’s Hall H starting at 1:30 PM.
