Walt Disney Animation Studios has released its critically acclaimed CGI/2D hybrid short—Paperman—on YouTube!
Paperman made its way around the film festival circuit before being theatrically released in front of Wreck-It Ralph last November. This YouTube release comes just in time for the Academy Awards for which Paperman is nominated for Best Animated Short Film. The short is beautifully animated and explores a new technique that director John Kahrs and his crew developed which blends CGI with the finesse of the handdrawn 2D line.
