Looks like the Frozen train keeps on chuggin’! This past weekend Disney’s Frozen reached $1,072.4 million worldwide, making it the highest grossing animated film of all time. Ever.

A few weeks ago, Frozen passed the billion-dollar milestone, surpassing The Lion King and making it Disney’s highest grossing animated film. We weren’t sure whether it would have enough steam to make the extra $60 million to make it the highest grossing film ever, but looks like Frozen did that and some.

Now, we all know that this is a big deal. Records like that don’t get shattered every day. Frozen took the number one spot from the once-thought insurmountable Toy Story 3. This is a pretty impressive feat for an original film as many of the highest grossing animated films are sequels, which already have a loyal fan base. Frozen, while it did have the Disney name and marketing machine behind it, was still a non-sequel rookie. But Disney harkened back to its fairy tale and musical roots, familiar territory for audiences, which helped to make it one of the most beloved Disney films of all time.

With this milestone, Frozen also entered another coveted list: the top 10 highest grossing films of all time. It’s likely that the film will even climb up a few more spots before its box-office run comes to an end. Since the movie is now available on Blu-ray in the US, it’s unlikely that its US box office will

Congratulations to the entire Frozen for this monumental achievement!

Make your predictions: how much do you think ‘Frozen will make worldwide when all is said and done?
