[D23 Expo] Disney Parks, Experiences, Products Panels Revealed

As well as a jam-packed schedule of presentations, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products presents an immersive pavilion and exclusive shopping opportunities will especially excite every Disney fan.

The “Imagining Tomorrow, Today” pavilion will give fans a unique inside look at new developments happening at Disney parks around the world. For instance, there will be a dedicated space showcasing the historic EPCOT transformation at Walt Disney World. Fans will also get to see the latest plans for Avengers areas in Hong Kong, Paris, and California.

The major Hall D23 presentation, with Disney Parks, Experiences and Products chairman Bob Chapek, will take place Sunday, August 25, at 10:30am. Of course, fans will get many more details on upcoming attractions, experiences, and immersive storytelling.

Across the show floor, fans can grab brand-new collectibles. Shops on the show floor include shopDisney, Disney DreamStore, Mickey’s of Glendale, and Mickey’s of Glendale Pin Store. In particular, Disney will release new collections to celebrate anniversaries and favorite characters in Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel stories.

Matt Walker, Imagineering Music Studio lead, discusses the creative process behind music and sound design throughout the new Galaxy’s Edge. Imagineers and collaborators also share how they developed all-new Star Wars films-inspired soundscapes.

Immersive Worlds: Bringing Stories to Life in Disney Parks

Join Imagineers Joe Rohde and Scott Trowbridge as they take fans through the creative process for dreaming up and then developing new themed Disney environments and experiences.

Walt Disney Archives Stage – August 24, 6p
Travels with Marty: A Conversation with the Sklars and Imagineers

Celebrate the legacy of Marty Sklar, Disney Legend, with his colleagues, mentees, and family. Fans will get insight into the publishing of his last book and his huge impact on The Walt Disney Company.

Behind the Art of Disney Costuming: Heroes, Villains, and Spaces Between

Check out the imagination, passion, and attention to detail that go into creating Disney costumes. Specifically, fans will get a behind the scenes look with the team that created the new Walt Disney Archives exhibit on the show floor, and its coffee table book.

Inspiring Women Behind Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Meet talented women from across the Disney Parks, Experience and Products responsible for bringing the new Galaxy’s Edge to life. For instance, fans will hear stories about their experiences developing original backstories of the land and inhabitants as well as themed merchandise and interactive elements throughout the land.

Imagineer Kevin Rafferty reminisces about his career spanning 40+ years, from a dishwasher at Disneyland to building immersive lands.

Marc Davis in His Own Words – Imagineering the Disney Theme Park

Pete Docter and Christopher Merritt reveal their two-volume tribute to Marc Davis, Disney Legend. Especially featuring Davis’s artwork for the creation of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland, the presentation will also highlight the attraction’s 50th anniversary.
