At the Annecy International Animated Film Festival this month, DreamWorks Animation revealed a teaser trailer for a new original series, Kip and the Age of  Wonderbeasts.

The show promises an interesting story in a post-apocalyptic world where nature has overrun civilization:

After spending her entire life living in an underground burrow, a young girl named Kipo is thrust into an adventure on the surface of a fantastical post-apocalyptic Earth. She joins a ragtag group of survivors as they embark on a journey through a vibrant wonderland where everything trying to kill them is downright adorable.

Radford Sechrist (How to Train Your Dragon 2) created and produced the series, and Bill Wolkoff (Once Upon a Time) executive produced and developed it for TV. Karen Fukuhara, from She-Ra and the Princess of Power, will voice “Kipo.” Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts will debut on Netflix in 2020.

Cute dangerous creatures? Post-apocalyptic world? New original series? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
