The Voltron paladins are returning to Earth in season seven of Voltron: Legendary Defender, but with the loss of the Castle of Lions and the ever-present Galra threat, it may not be a very happy homecoming.

The trailer for the upcoming season was released Friday at the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel. Check it out:

In addition to the trailer above, the SDCC panel debuted the first episode of season seven, titled “A Little Adventure.” The episode alternated between flashbacks of Shiro and Keith’s time at the garrison when they first met and a comedic mission involving Hunk, Pidge, Coran, Lance, and Romelle.

“A Little Adventure” generated a lot of buzz among fans online due to the reveal that Shiro is gay and had a significant other named Adam at the garrison. Voltron and Shiro were trending worldwide on Twitter after the panel.

DreamWorks and Nerdist also announced a new behind-the-scenes commentary podcast called “Form Podcast!” Each episode of the show will have it’s own podcast session detailing the making of the show and its characters.

Season seven of Voltron: Legendary Defender will premiere August 10 on Netflix with 13 episodes. Season eight, which does not yet have a release date, will also be 13 episodes long and mark the end of the series.
