A First Look at Netflix’s Stretch Armstrong Series

Netflix has just released the first trailer for its new series Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters, a co-venture with toy company Hasbro. Originally released as an action figure by defunct toy company Kenner, Stretch Armstrong lingered for decades in development hell with no less than four failed live-action feature film attempts (including talent ranging from Tim Allen, Danny DeVito, and most recently Taylor Lautner at the height of his Twilight series popularity).

Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters focuses on a teenaged hero and his band of similarly stretchy friends as they juggle high school life while also fighting crime as the superheroes in Charter City. Voice talent for the series includes animation veteran Scott Menville in the title role, Steven Yuen

(The Walking Dead), Gary Cole (Veep), Wil Wheaton (The Big Bang Theory), Felicia Day (Supernatural), Kate Mulgrew (Orange is the New Black), and Walter Koenig (Star Trek). The official drop date for the planed 26-episode series (which will reportedly utilize a serialized story arc) is November 17th.
