Starting tomorrow it’s time for the 2016 Annecy Film Festival in Annecy, France. It’s the biggest animation film festival in the world where big animation studio’s, animation students and animation fans all join together to get a look at everything that’s coming up. Besides presentations about upcoming animated features and exclusive premieres and screenings, there’s also a ton of opportunities for portfolio reviews and some signing sessions with animation talent.

Michaël Dudok De Wit – ‘The Red Turtle’

Last year, Michaël Dudok de Wit presented The Red Turtle as a Work in Progress, and now he’s ready to share the finished version as the Annecy Festival opener. The film is the first venture into feature direction for this Dutch filmmaker who is renowned for his shorts The Monk and the Fish and Father and Daughter.

The next DreamWorks feature is almost here! From the creators of “Shrek” comes “Trolls”, a smart, funny and irreverent animated comedy. This fall, you can discover the story of the overly optimistic dolls who always have a song on their lips. They’ll be grappling with the comedically pessimistic Bergens, who are only happy when they have Trolls in their tummies.
