Somewhere out there is a young child threatening to throw a fit if they aren’t entertained. The old stand-by cartoons and animated films aren’t working (I mean, even Frozen gets old after 700 plays). Where will desperate parents look to for relief?

Lionsgate’s latest, Norm of the North, rose to the challenge this week with a combination Blu-ray/DVD/HD Digital release package. It’s bound to reach that kid somehow, in some shape or form. Apparently and frequently bought together with the upcoming video releases for Disney’s Zootopia and DreamWorks’ Kung Fu Panda 3, Norm’s video release offers a solid video transfer of the film and a few bonus features.
Special Features Run-Down:
- Deleted scenes
- “Do the Arctic Shake!” sing-along
- “That’s Funny! The Movie’s Best Jokes & One-Liners”
- “The Arctic Challenge”
That last special feature is kind of a quiz on polar bears and other arctic critters matched with semi-relevant scenes from the film. Definitely a cool feature for parents with curious-minded kids. The quiz is pretty tough too. I think I only got like 5 out of 14 questions right.
