Oh! Will you look at that?! Thanks to widespread anticipation prompted by the first teaser trailer, Warner Bros., Warner Animation Group and LEGO were nice enough to drop a second teaser trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie. Watch it below:

This time around, we are given our first look at Wayne Manor, with Batman in his robes doing what he usually does in his off-time: speak to his many pictures and portraits of his parents. We also get to see (and hear) Ralph Fiennes’ version of Alfred in a hilarious scene where he knocks down the fourth wall by referencing all the years that a Batman film has been released, going from the latest entry, Batman V. Superman, to 1966’s Adam West Batman movie. This reconfirms the film’s commitment to honoring all of the big-screen Batmans (or Batmen) that came before. We also get Batman comically refusing to discuss his feelings (and attempting to beatbox), so there’s that.

But wait, there’s more! Pause the trailer at 1:39, and we get our first look at a LEGO-ized version of Batman’s rouges gallery (sans the Joker). From left to right: The Penguin, The Riddler, Killer Croc, Catwoman, Bane (with Clayface behind him), Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Mr,Freeze, Two-Face, and Scarecrow. That’s a really cool scene showing just how deeply entrenched the film is in the Batman mythology.

But alas, we still have yet to see Robin or Batgirl. Maybe in the third teaser trailer if you freak out enough over this one?

The LEGO Batman Movie is directed by Chris McKay from a screenplay by Seth Grahame-Smith. Will Arnett reprises his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, with a cast that includes Ralph Fiennes (Alfred Pennyworth), Rosario Dawson (Barbara Gordon/Batgirl), Michael Cera (Dick Greyson), Zack Galifianakis (The Joker), and Mariah Carey as the Mayor of Gotham.

The plot synopsis reads as follows:

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made ‘The LEGO® Movie’ a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure: ‘The LEGO® Batman Movie.’ But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

What do you think? Does this second teaser trailer have you excited for the film?
