Dragons fans, I hope you’re ready to start the new year on a great note!
The second half (or the “new season,” as it is quizzically referred to) of DreamWorks Dragons: Race to the Edge is coming to Netflix on January 8 (a few weeks from now!).
In celebration of the premiere, DWA TV has providing us with a new clip that gives us our first look at the second half of the season and – of course – our first look at a brand new dragon.

In case you were wondering, this strange new addition to the world of Dragons is the Armor Wing, a dragon that forges its metallic scales from stolen swords, shields, and other metal objects to create an armor that protects its naturally soft skin. Being that we are very close to the drop date we can expect to learn a lot more about what awaits us in the second chapter of Race to the Edge, including the new villain (voiced by the incredible Alfred Molina). Also, just to be a tease, I happen to know a few things about this villain. I can’t say too much since I am under embargo, but I will say that this villain is…something different than what we’ve seen so far in Dragons media.
The new episodes of Race to the Edge premiere on January 8, while the first half of Race to the Edge is currently streaming on Netflix. Oh yeah, and be sure to watch out for a surprise update on The DRAGONS TV Recap!
