After enjoying a run on the big screen, Shaun the Sheep now has a new special called The Farmer’s Llamas set to arrive Christmas 2015. Two new images and a teaser clip just arrived online.
In the first image we see Shaun at Mossy Bottom Farm with the usual cast of characters – the farmer, Bitzer the dog, and Timmy the lamb – joined by three llamas with very big teeth (a traditional Aardman trait).
In the second image we get a glimpse of Shaun trying to gain control of a quad bike along with his fellow worried sheep and the llamas. The quad bike was also featured in the teaser clip released on Shaun the Sheep‘s official Facebook page here.
The runtime is substantially longer than the shows usual seven-minute length, allowing for a much fuller story for the whole family to enjoy. What we know so far is that a flock of llamas join the farm who aren’t to be trusted. Shaun will, somehow, save the day with a poncho and a set of panpipes (which you can see him holding up in the first image).
Last year an image released that showed Shaun and a rather aloof-looking llama. Will he be the next Aardman villain (just like Feathers McGraw from the Wallace and Gromit short The Wrong Trousers)?
Alix Wiseman, head of sales and acquisitions at Aardman, said: ‟We’re all truly excited to be seeing the story of The Farmer’s Llamas come to life and we hope our global fans will enjoy this fun new adventure as we delve deeper into Shaun’s world.”
Broadcast dates for The Farmer’s Llamas will be confirmed soon – check back on the Shaun the Sheep website and Facebook for the latest llama updates.
What do you think of the new images and teaser released for The Farmer’s Llamas? Will you be watching this Christmas Special?
