Fans of Aardman Animation will be delighted to hear that the Shaun the Sheep Movie will have its theatrical release in the US on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, two days earlier than previously planned.

This is perhaps the perfect time for the British-based animation studio to release its movie, as there isn’t a new Disney or Pixar movie to contend with. Everyone who wanted to see Inside Out will have probably seen it already, maybe more than once. Even Argentinian animated film The Underdogs will be released more than a week later (on August 14). So, both the Shaun the Sheep Movie and The Underdogs have a comfortable amount of room at the end of the summer to do well at the US box office.

Shaun the Sheep Movie is a feature length film based on the television series of the same name. This time the mischievous little sheep Shaun leaves his farm (where he must save the farmer), helps his friends, and escapes the clutches of animal control.

Check out these five reasons to be excited for Shaun the Sheep Movie and take a look at the trailer below:

Do you love Aardman Animation? Are you more than ready to see the ‘Shaun the Sheep Movie’?
