Hilarious New Trailer for ‘Minions’ Released!

This summer the beloved Minions will return to the big screen. But this time Gru will be replaced with the villainous Scarlet Overkill. In this hilarious new trailer for Illumination Entertainment’s Minions, we are introduced to Scarlet and to her relationship with the Minions.

The first Minions trailer focused on some of the former villains the little yellow creatures have served in the past, the second trailer introduced us to Sandra Bullock’s Scarlet Overkill, and this new trailer gives a better impression of Scarlet’s villainous plan to steal the crown of Queen Elizabeth.

This new trailer gives a better impression of the film’s premise, which actually sounds really fun. After many failed attempts to find the right villain to serve, the minions find the villainous Scarlet Overkill who sends them on the mission to steal the crown of the British Queen. In the previous trailers we already got to see a bit of Scarlet Overkill. This new trailer, however, reveals her villainous plan (the execution of which constitutes the main plot of the film).

The trailer featured some of the hilarious new gags that we were obviously all anticipating for the Minions movie, as well as some risky jokes that I’m not yet sure belong in this film (the Minions playing around with a noose, really?). Overall the trailer is really enjoyable and I can’t wait for this film to arrive in theaters.

Minions hits theaters nationwide on July 10.
