Illumination Entertainment has released a new trailer for its upcoming film, Minions.
Whilst the first trailer focused more on the overall point of the movie (Minions exist to serve villains, but after accidentally killing every villain they served, three Minions set out to find a new villain to serve), this trailer focuses more on the details of the overall point of the movie which is something I admire about the trailer. It doesn’t bother to rehash what the first trailer gave us; rather it continues where the first trailer left off.
In this trailer, we see our three Minions as they hitchhike a ride to Orlando to attend a big villain convention called Villain-Con. There they meet the evil Scarlet Overkill, voiced by Sandra Bullock.
Scarlett Overkill is supposed to be the #1 baddest villain in the world (as of 1968) and even quotes, “Doesn’t it feel so good to be bad?”, which just automatically makes me think of this.
In the end, I’m extremely excited about this movie and commend this trailer for showing us new scenes in the movie. Minions is set to be released in the USA on July 10, 2015.
What do you think about the trailer for Minions? What do you think of Sandra Bullock’s character and voice work?
