An all-new story featuring your favorite religious singing vegetables is coming to DVD and digital release on March 3, 2015. As reported by USA Today, VeggieTales: Noah’s Ark will be the first full-length episode to feature the new character designs seen in VeggieTales In the House, the Netflix Original series that premiered last November. It will also be the first biblical retelling since The Little Drummer Boy came out in 2011. And that’s not all! Shortly following the release of Noah’s Ark, five new episodes of VeggieTales In the House will debut on Netflix, making a grand total of 15.
Noah’s Ark features the voice talents of game show host Wayne Brady as Noah’s son Shem and Christian pop singer Jaci Velasquez as Shem’s wife, Sadie. Regulars such as Bob, Larry, and Pa Grape will return to portray other members of the family. The story will follow Shem, who returns from his honeymoon to find his father Noah constructing a giant orange slice–er, ark–right where Shem was planning on building a house and starting his new life with Sadie. Soon animals begin arriving two-by-two, despite the fact that, as far as Shem can tell, there’s no rain to be seen. Shem and his family will learn the importance of trusting God–and each other.
It will be a musical adventure, with 10 original songs, including “My Golden Egg,” a new addition to the well-loved “Silly Songs With Larry” lineup.
