DreamWorks really has been playing it smart regarding digital media compared to other animation studios. Recently, the studio started a new YouTube channel called DreamWorksTV, which allows you to not only stay up-to-date on the latest DreamWorks releases, but also to watch clips of your favorite classic cartoons and characters in “Retro Toons.”

The cartoons featured on the channel are Classic Media properties, which DreamWorks purchased (and all of its characters) for $155 million in 2012. It includes the characters of He-Man and The Masters of the Universe, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Voltron: Defender of the Universe, She-Ra Princess of Power, Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, The Archie Show, Casper, Godzilla, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Mighty Hercules and many more. Here’s the trailer for the Retro Toons:

Seeing short clips isn’t that exciting. It would have been really great to watch full episodes of these classic cartoons. To watch all the Retro Toons without having to scroll through all of the uploads, check out the playlist here.

The channel also features vlogs from various DreamWorks characters like Puss in Boots and Shrek (at times, which seems like the studio is trying to hard to ride a trend), in addition to original animated short-form content such as Jimmy Blue Shorts, Public Pool, Gorillaville, Report Card, and Fifi Cat Therapist.

Will you subscribe to DreamWorksTV and watch the Retro Toons?
