‘Big Hero 6’ Scene Breakdowns Underway at WDAS

The folks at Walt Disney Animation Studios are just as excited to talk about Disney’s upcoming animated film Big Hero 6 as we are, which makes us even more excited.

Yesterday the head of animation for Frozen tweeted that the scene breakdown process for Big Hero 6 was underway:

Warner Loughlin is a master acting instructor/coach who studied Contemporary Literature and Shakespeare at Oxford. According to her biography on warnerloughlin.com, she settled in LA working as an actor, director and producer until she opened her own studio in 1996. She has instructed / coached numerous stars, including Amy Adams, Ryan Reynolds, and Zooey Deschanel. In a nutshell, she knows a lot about good acting. And she’s providing full-on acting lessons for the Big Hero 6 animators.

When pressed for an anecdote, Mr. DiSalvo had this to say about the process of scene breakdowns with Loughlin:

In conclusion, we can expect Disney Animation to pull off some breathtaking emotion and quality acting in the characters of Big Hero 6, despite the film being about superheroes and robots.

Big Hero 6 will be the first Disney animated feature to feature Marvel characters since Disney’s acquisition of Marvel Entertainment in 2009. It’s scheduled to be released November 7 of this year.
