Fandango released a new clip called “Talented Mr. Peabody”, which is for the eagerly anticipated DreamWorks film Mr. Peabody & Sherman. The scene features the über intelligent canine Mr. Peabody showing off some of his musical and chiropractic skills to Penny’s parents, Patty and Paul Peterson. And let’s face it, they’re pretty impressive for a dog.

Piano, electric guitar, bagpipes and even the didgeridoo! Who know that Mr. Peabody was so talented? Heck, he’s even an darn good chiropractor too. I love clips like this because they are fun and give us a little more insight about the characters without spoiling the plot or best jokes.

The look and feel of the clip is fantastic. The movie’s style and animation is reminiscent of the old 1960s cartoons, which makes sense because the film is based on The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. This scene uses interesting camera angles, specifically near the ground and ankles of the characters. This clip is devoted solely to Mr. Peabody, so we don’t see Sherman or Penny, but I have a feeling the next few clips will focus more on them as well as the historic characters that make appearances in the film.

Peabody & Sherman is about Mr. Peabody, a talking dog who is the smartest being in the world, and his adopted son Sherman. When Sherman’s misuse of the time-traveling WABAC machine results in disastrous and comical results, it is up to them to put things on track before the space-time continuum is irreparably destroyed.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman will release in theatres March 7
