Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 1988 film Oliver & Company arrives on Blu-ray August 6 in a 25th anniversary edition set.
The film is one of the few remaining films from Disney Animation to receive the high-definition treatment, following a palooza of its siblings that have their Blu-ray debut in June. This release of Oliver & Comapny is nearly identical to the 2009 DVD reissue of the film, bearing the same meager offering of bonus features. The set’s official Disney.com page promises “more” in addition to two Pluto shorts and two short featurettes (all recycled from past releases), though any new material under that “more” category is a stretch to hope for at this point.
