jim-cummings-darkwing-duck-beloved-voice-actorDid you get enough April Fool’s news stories yet? (If now, check out our two fake stories here and here). Well, yesterday Funny or Die released a slew of fake Kickstarter KickstartOrDie movie reboot projects for shows like Family Matters and Dinosaurs. Last month, the cult TV show Veronica Mars was able to secure $2 million for a reboot movie, which was a goal studio execs set in order to give pre-production the ok (it reached the goal in 10 hours). Ever since, there have been a slew of production companies flocking to Kickstarter to reach out to their fans for monetary support. But by far my favorite of Funny Or Die’s clips was the Kickstarter for Darkwing Duck: The Movie, which was pitched to us by the ever hilarious, beloved voice actor Jim Cummings. Cummings voices many Disney and animated characters such as Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and Darkwing Duck. I’m not going to lie, there may be a part of me that wishes this were real. But alas, it’s not. Either way, Cummings is absolutely brilliant in the video. My favorite line of his being, “Let’s get generous!” Check it out below! What cartoon show would you want to see brought back for a movie?
