In order to provide our readers and listeners with the highest quality and best experience possible, we’ve decided to take on some staff writers to help our website and news section stay up to date with the latest animation news!
We are looking for writers who are talented, enthusiastic, and–of course–knowledgable about animation (movies, studios, history, key players, etc.). While we want the site and articles to be informative, we encourage our writers to insert their own personality, voice, and opinions into their pieces.
This is a volunteer position (much like Hypable.com or other sites), but provides a great opportunity to get journalism experience and build your writing portfolio. There is no time requirement; you can write articles on your own time, but we do ask that you write 1-2 articles every few days (or as the news comes).
We are currently looking for writers in the following areas:
- General animation news
- Pixar news
- Disney news
- Animated TV shows
- Opinion corner
If you are interested, email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “News Writer Application” and the news section(s) you’re interested in writing. Write a few brief paragraphs explaining who you are, your history/love/passion for animation, and why we should pick you. Also, please provide two writing samples of news articles or other pieces you have written.
