Pixar-Disney-Cruise-LineMost Disney cruises feature a spattering of beloved Pixar characters onboard, but this fall Disney Cruise Lines will embark on a few exclusive Pixar-themed cruises. Disney Parks Blog reports that the 7-day cruise aboard the Disney Wonder will leave from Port of Los Angeles and travel along the California coast, visiting popular coastal cities along the way, such as San Diego and San Fransisco.

In addition to the expected plethora of Pixar characters face characters, the cruise will also feature numerous Pixar activities and memoriabilia for guests.  Among the actvities will be Pixar artist and filmmaker presentations, including a behind-the-scenes peak at Brave and sneak peaks at other upcoming Pixar films. The cruise will also house an exclusive Pixar art exhibit, which whill feature storyboards, character sketches, environment paintings, sculptures and concept art. Cruisers will also enjoy screenings of films and animated shorts from the entire Pixar film library, concluding with a special 3D showing of Finding Nemo.

Only four departure dates have been set for these Pixar-inspired cruises: Sept. 16, Sept. 23, Sept. 30 and Oct. 7. All guests will receive a special commemorative lithograph created by Steve Purcell, the co-director and screenwriter of Brave.
